Hey LSH Giants! The countdown is on! 53 days!! AHHHHH! It’s time to gather your friends, family, and teammates and register for the Polar Plunge! 🧊❄️☃️ On February 1st, we’ll be hopping on buses and heading to St. Peter to jump into freezing cold water—all to support Special Olympics Minnesota and LSH Unified. How cool is that?! Here’s the deal: To register, go to plungemn.org and register under team "LSH Unified" Each participant needs to raise $75 to take the plunge (with this, you get a long-sleeved shirt). 50% of what our team raises comes back to support LSH Unified and all the amazing inclusion work we’re doing right here at LSH. 🌟 Parent permission is needed for anyone under 18 via a waiver form. This is an awesome way to have fun, make memories, and show your support for inclusion in our community. We’re also looking for staff/parent volunteers to help chaperone students attending the event and take the plunge themselves. The more people we get to join, the more we can achieve for our LSH Unified mission! So spread the word, rally your crew, and let’s make a splash! 🌊 Got questions? Let me know! We are freezin' for a reason this winter! Do it for an amazing cause (or the free t-shirt if that's more your style)! If you are thinking NO WAY but would like to donate to the cause, you may do so via the link to any "plunger!" (Remember, every person must raise $75 to take the plunge, so if you see someone struggling to make their mark, they may be a good person to sponsor.) Let’s do this, Giants! 💙💛

November 14th during conferences. Mrs. Wilke and Mrs. Kirschner will be available to assist students and families with selecting elective courses. All students will have equal opportunities to register, with time set aside later in November and early December for those unable to attend on conference day. Middle school students do not need to register, as their schedules are more structured, but they can reach out to Mrs. Wilke or Mrs. Kirschner if they wish to explore potential schedule adjustments.

6th graders recently participated in the Lions Club Peace Poster Contest. Students created their posters based on the theme Peace Without Limits. Our local Le Sueur Lions Club judged all the posters that were completed and submitted. Maggie McDonough-Hartwell won first place, and Mackenzie Jones won second place. Maggie's poster has now been sent on to the district level for further judging. All the participating students enjoyed creating what they thought was Peace Without Limits.
