Dear Le Sueur-Henderson Area School’s Students, Staff, Parents and Residents:

Welcome to the Le Sueur-Henderson School District.    This letter to introduce myself to you and the communities and to let you know how happy I am to be serving the LSH Area Schools. I would like to take this opportunity to say I am honored and very humbled to be your superintendent. The LSH Area School District is one that has high expectations for its staff and students. Since starting, I have learned that the district is full of wonderful people committed to the schools and communities.

I would also like to tell you a little about myself and my family. I am originally from central Minnesota and grew up on a family farm milking cows and grain farming. I attended St. John’s University where I earned my undergraduate degree. I am a believer of lifelong learning, so I am in the process of working on my doctoral degree.  My wife and I have four children and they attend the middle/high school. The opportunity for all students is amazing for a small rural school district like LSH.

I have been working with district leaders and school board members to discuss how we want to showcase the wonderful things that Le Sueur and Henderson have to offer. I have met with the elementary and middle/high school principals to discuss how we will continue to strive to be the best in in the area and across the state, as we continue to educate the students in the 21st century.

As the superintendent of LSH, my drive and goals lie in providing the best possible opportunities for students, staff, and the communities.  This is centered on a strong commitment to continuous improvement. There is much to celebrate in the LSH District Schools.  I am thankful of having been given the opportunity to work here and look forward to building on the strength of our schools and communities while working with all of you.

I have become a believer of what wonderful communities Le Sueur and Henderson are.  We have a great place to live and grow with excellent schools, staff, students, parents, and community members. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you in the future.

In Education,

Jim Wagner
