Immunizations

Parents/guardians are required to provide the school with proof of immunizations and update immunizations in accordance with Minnesota law (MN Statute 121A.15). A parent/guardian may choose to provide the school with a signed, notarized conscientious exemption in lieu of immunizations. The following immunizations are required prior to entrance in Kindergarten:

  • 5 doses of diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP);
  • 4 doses of polio;
  • 2 doses of measles, mumps, rubella (MMR);
  • 3 doses of Hepatitis B; and
  • 2 doses of varicella (chicken pox).

Prior to entrance into 7th grade both a tetanus booster and meningococcal (Meningitis) vaccines are required. New for the Fall of 2020, all incoming 12th grade students will be required to receive the booster dose of the meningococcal (Meningitis) vaccine.  If your child will be participating in the Preschool or Early Childhood programs through the district, please see the immunization requirements under - Are Your Kids Ready?. Students transferring into the district have 30 days to provide proof of immunization compliance. A student will not be allowed to remain in school unless immunizations are up to date, according to Minnesota state law (MN Statute 121A.15).
